I was born and raised in Kansas City. I am the oldest of 5 children so have always been a natural born leader. I attended Marquette University where I worked hard and played hard!
During the fall semester of my senior year, I did a Semester at Sea. I traveled to 12 different countries with students from all over the world. My favorite places to visit were India, Tanzania, and South Africa. A highlight of the trip was when we met Fidel Castro in Cuba. It was an unbelievable experience where I learned so many life long lessons, far beyond anything you can study in a standard classroom.
I met my husband, Chris, at Marquette. After graduation we started our careers but always took the time to travel and have fun. We were blessed with our first daughter in 2008 and a son in 2010.
I led a successful career at Careerbuilder.com from 2005-2010 where I developed my business acumen and desire to excel.
I am very passionate about family and my career. I am excited for a new adventure with Beyond Credentials!

What do you feel has been your greatest work-related accomplishment?
I tried for nearly a year to get a meeting with Mayor Daley in Chicago. After many failed attempts I was finally able to secure a meeting with him by sending a hand written note. I met Mayor Daley in the summer of 2008, one of the highlights of my career!
How do you handle stressful situations?
Stay positive and keep perspective.
If you had enough money to retire right now, would you?
No! While it sounds nice to lay on a beach with my husband and children, I know that I would not have self-fulfillment if I stopped working completely. I love having a career and the many challenges that arise in the world of business. I thrive on achievement and do not anticipate that changing.
